The goal of this blog is to help you ‘Experience the Big Apple’ to its fullest – whether you are a local or first time visitor.
Because everyone is going to see NYC through different eyes, I wanted to introduce myself so you can have an idea of where I am coming from.
My name is Megan and I am a licensed New York City Tour Guide.
I moved to New York City from Florida in 2004 with a goal of being a Broadway star. Trust me, that dream is still alive and well and I get many wonderful opportunities to perform all over the country. Between contracts, I get to put my history degree to good use working as a tour guide for One World Observatory, City Tales, Rays Food and Walking Tours, the Levys Unique New York, and many more tour companies!
I have champagne tastes on a tap water budget – so most of my suggestions will probably fall into the ‘affordable for the average actor pounding the pavement category,’ while making every attempt to maximize the fun.
Most of my blog entries will sound like they come a giant history nerd who is also obsessed with food, fashion, theatre, dance, and opera – because that is who I am. The wonderful thing about New York City is that it literally has something for everyone, so if you’re obsessed with sports , rap, and technology – there is a New York for you. While I’ll valiantly try to help you discover that as well, it will all come from the point of view a giant history nerd who is also obsessed with food, fashion, theatre, dance, and opera.
